Tamara Kvesitadze achieved international appeal through her work with kinetic sculpture, making movement the essence of her creativity. Her artistic practice focuses on the tension between the human and its world, with the body always being at the centre of her exploration. Her way of understanding the body is ambiguous and always in flux. Her sculptures are dynamic and often with a deliberately unfinished quality to them. Bordering on the grotesque, they reference classical sculptures and allude to playful games between the subconscious and conscious worlds.

Hu Shunxiang, born in Shandong, China, earned her BA in oil painting from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2011 and now lives and works in Chengdu. She has received several awards, including the ARTCLOUD China SAP Art Award (2019) and the “Newcomer of the Year” Award (2013). Hu has taken part in artist residencies and interdisciplinary projects like Beijing Design Week and the Shanghai International Advertising Awards. Her work has been shown at major institutions and fairs including the Guangdong Museum of Art, ART021, the Los Angeles Art Show, and a parallel exhibition of the 55th Venice Biennale. In 2024, her work featured in shows at the Chun Art Museum and Nanjing University of the Arts.
